She while speaking about this said, ” I got the opportunity to dance for a Kuthu song in the Hindi film Chennai Express which had Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. I immediately gave the nod. The reason for this is that Bollywood top heroines right Kareena to Priyanka Chopra dance for a Kuthu song. They are also being offered heroine roles. I will not agree to dance for a Kuthu song in South Indian language films. If a heroine dances for a Kuthu song in one or two films, they will be stamped as item number dancer. After this they will not get heroine roles. That is why I refuse to dance for Kuthu songs in Tamil films. At the same time I am ready to dance for Kuthu songs in Hindi films.”
